Health Center

Burroughs has a health center/athletic training room located in the Cissel Center that is under the direction of a licensed physician, a registered nurse, and an athletic trainer. These health care professionals are available to handle all injuries and/or sudden illnesses occurring during school hours and during home athletic contests.

As health care professionals, it is our responsibility and goal to provide health care services to all students, faculty, and staff while promoting the connection between health, athletics, and academic achievement.

Magnus Health

For the 2025-2026 school year, we will shift all student medical information to a new secure online database, Magnus Health, that will involve less paperwork for parents to complete each year. As a web-based system, it will allow you continuous access to your child’s health records and the ability to make updates when needed.

We ask that you enter the health information required within your Magnus Health SMR account for each child attending Burroughs next year no later than Monday, August 11.

At this time, you will only be able to complete forms for current JBS students; instructions on submitting health information for new students will be shared at a later date. Please reserve 20 to 30 minutes per child to complete the forms.

Parents/guardians can access their Magnus Health SMR account through the Veracross Parent Portal (under the My Household Header on the righthand side).

Concussion Information

As part of our concussion management program, all new students will be given a baseline ImPACT Test during the first few weeks of school. ImPACT is a user-friendly, computer-based testing program specifically designed for the management of sports-related concussion.
