Counseling & Wellness
The Counseling & Wellness Department at Burroughs is a multifaceted program that includes counselors and a health educator. The counselors work with all members of the Burroughs community to support the well-being and growth of our students. Helping students sustain healthy relationships within the community is an important part of our mission, along with encouraging our students to make healthy personal choices. At its core, this is a collaborative effort involving parents/guardians, faculty/coaches, and the administration.
Services provided by the Counseling & Wellness Department include oversight of the health curriculum; screening for learning difficulties and emotional concerns; personal counseling following any type of loss, crisis, or difficulty; counseling for a wide variety of adjustment concerns; and parent/guardian support services. The department also supports Family Network programming.
