Potpourri Donation Guidelines

We are so grateful for donations from members of both the Burroughs and greater St. Louis communities.  

A tax receipt is available at our Community Collections & Sorts. 

Potpourri gladly accepts GENTLY USED:

• Everything JBS
• Clothing, shoes & jewelry
• Books, toys, board games
• Home decor & holiday decorations
• Kitchen gadgets, utensils, cookware, bakeware, glassware, dishes
• Sporting goods, outdoor/recreational equipment, bikes, scooters
• Furniture, antiques, rugs, lamps, linens, closet & bath organizers
• Hardware, lawn & garden tools, pet supplies (no food), auto accessories
• Functioning electronics, flat screen televisions, small appliances (please note working condition on item)
• Questions? please contact one of the Potpourri chairs directly

Potpourri CANNOT ACCEPT: 

• In general, NO well-worn or soiled textiles, and NO broken items 
• Socks, underwear, bathing suits, sleepwear / pajamas
• Personal care items such as cosmetics, shampoo, conditioner, nail polish remover, shaving cream, hairsprays, perfume, etc. 
• Cribs, car seats, walkers, or bicycle helmets
• Non-functioning electronics, non-flat screen or CRT televisions and monitors
• Mattresses, sofa beds, water beds
• Major appliances, freon-based small appliances, complete kitchens
• Household / outdoor / automotive chemical products (bug spray, paint, oil/gas containers, fertilizer, etc…)

If you would like to give us your well-worn or soiled textiles (clothing, towels, linens) to be recycled, please bag them separately from your other donations and label the bag, so we can give them directly to our textile recycling partner.
