Our annual International Week, organized by the JBS Community & Equity Partnership, celebrates the vibrant and diverse cultures that make up our Burroughs community. Much of this year’s programming spotlights Brazil, home to our current AFS exchange student, Victoria Capece Coelho de Souza.
The week's events included a Brazilian cooking class, a chance to learn more about hosting an AFS student, a screening of the animated film Rio, and several special assemblies organized by student groups. The week culminated with the second annual Cultural Exchange, where students and their families had a chance to share their cultural heritage, and the annual International Dinner featuring several local food trucks representing various international cuisines.
