German Trip 2026

In June, the junior German class embarked on an unforgettable journey through Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.

In Berlin, students dove into history and culture at every turn. They strolled down Unter den Linden, toured the Reichstag, and enjoyed dinner in the charming Nikolaiviertel. The following day included a visit to Museum Island, a bike tour tracing the history of the Berlin Wall, and a stop at the vibrant East Side Gallery before an evening at Potsdamer Platz.

An overnight train carried the group to Zurich, where they admired Lake Zurich, wandered the Altstadt, and marveled at Marc Chagall's stained-glass windows. From there, students continued to Lucerne, hiked up Mount Pilatus, and relaxed along Lake Lucerne.

Munich offered a guided city tour through Marienplatz and the English Garden, where students even spotted surfers on the Eisbach River, along with visits to Allianz Arena, BMW Welt, and the stunning Nymphenburg Palace.

After a brief stop in Salzburg, the trip concluded with an early 5 am departure, flying from Munich to Frankfurt and back to St. Louis, capping off an incredible summer abroad.
