1.17.22 Over 50 students engaged in acts of service by constructing handmade cards, decorating picture frames, creating valentine decorations and making bookmarks for the female residents of Mary Ryder Home, a residential care facility for low-income senior women in downtown St. Louis.

12.7.21 Maria Cohen (Modern Languages) hosted an Ecuadorian Cooking Class in the FACS kitchen. The event was sponsored by Cultural Connectors, a subcommittee of the Community & Equity Partnership

11.20.21 With a win over Blue Springs (in PKs), the boys soccer team placed third in State (Class 4). A historic run and win!

12.4.21 Students and faculty collected donations for the Holiday Food Drive at all four Straub’s locations (Clayton, Town & Country, Webster Groves and CWE). The food sculpture contest is Wednesday, December 8. All donations went to Isaiah 58 Ministries.

11.18.21 Thirty-four students and 9 faculty participated in collecting $3100+ for Old Newsboys Day on Thursday, November 18. The funds benefit St. Louis area children's charities. This year four Burroughs students ~ Sara Cao ‘22, Lana English ‘23, Brice Shearburn ‘23 and Ava Teasdale ‘22 ~ have articles published in the 2021 special edition.

10.27.21 KUTO (Kids Under 21) sponsored a mini-relaxation day which included wearing comfy clothes, petting therapy dogs, drawing with sidewalk chalk and enjoying Halloween decorations and candy.

10.09.21 Students washed cars in support of this year’s Danna Drive partner, the Nahed Chapman New American School. This K-8 school in the St. Louis Public Schools serves students and families who are new to the United States and speak a language other than English.

09.20.21 What a sweet way start to kick off Spirit Week! For Color Day, grades wore their assigned colors to get class points for a chance at the Class Cup.

On 09.18.21, families participated in a Suicide Awareness Walk on the JBS campus. The walk, organized by Liv Acree, was well attended and helped raise awareness about suicide.
