*50th Anniversary of Roe: 
Students joined Ms. Edgerton (Fine Arts) in sharing a brief history of Roe vs. Wade in honor of its 50th anniversary, which occurred earlier this month. They also spoke about the current status of abortion rights since the landmark Supreme Court decision was overturned earlier this year.
*Black History Month Concert: All are invited to this year's Black History Month Concert, featuring Grammy-winning jazz pianist and Burroughs past parent Peter Martin. The concert will begin at 7:30 pm Thursday, February 2, in the Commons.
*Current Events: Mr. Abbott spoke about recent events in the national news that may be weighing on students, faculty, and staff. He spoke about the importance of caring for oneself and one's friends during stressful times. He encouraged everyone to take advantage of the support resources available through our Counseling & Wellness Department if needed.
*No School Friday: School will be closed on Friday, February 3, for a faculty professional development day.
*UNICEF: Burroughs's UNICEF chapter will meet at 8 am tomorrow in the painting and drawing studio to discuss its upcoming fundraising plans, including a bake sale, and to take its yearbook photo.
