Holiday Food Drive 2025

Holiday Food Drive 2025

This year marked a record-setting Holiday Food Drive for the Montgomery Plan. The Burroughs community donated 7,726 canned goods and household items for Isaiah 58 Ministries; when combined with items collected during Community Collection Day and perishable donations from FLIK, our food service provider, the total reached an unprecedented 10,269 pounds. In addition, $1,025 in financial gifts will allow Isaiah 58 to fill pantry gaps, often at reduced cost.

The drive kicked off in early December, when students and faculty volunteered at local Straub’s stores to collect donations from the wider St. Louis community. During Common Period on Wednesday, December 10, students gathered in advisory for the annual sculpture competition, turning canned goods into creative displays that highlighted teamwork and generosity.

The final phase took place on Friday, December 19, as students, faculty, and community members delivered donations to Isaiah 58’s South City food pantry and supported the nonprofit’s Fresh Food Friday distribution.

The Montgomery Plan thanks the entire Burroughs community for making this a record-breaking year.
