Growing the Burroughs Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is a source of unrestricted funding that helps Burroughs meet the expected and the unexpected.Every year, the Burroughs Annual Fund is an essential source of revenue for the school. Gifts to the Annual Fund immediately support our educational programming, faculty/staff salaries, professional development, tuition assistance, and the quality, maintenance, and safety of our buildings and grounds.
Comprising more than 10% of the school’s operating budget, ALL gifts count, and gifts at all levels have an impact. Last year, 91% of current families and 30% of alumni made a gift to the Burroughs Annual Fund along with 15% of past families and 24% of grandparents — collectively contributing $3.1 million to the 2023-24 Annual Fund.
In preparing for our second century, we ultimately need to grow our annual contributions to $3.2 million to meet the needs of our talented faculty and students. For those who are already giving, we hope you will continue to renew your support each year. If you've never given or it's been a few years, we hope you will consider giving back to Burroughs to ensure the school continues to be a place where students can thrive and grow. Annual Fund dollars support every student, every day — be a part of making that happen!
