Class of 1997

Classmates,

We had a great weekend celebrating 25 years since our high school graduation. Starting with the art reception in the Bonsack Gallery to the Centennial Launch in Haertter Hall to the Picnic in the Quad to our party at VinoSTL, it was a terrific way to celebrate! See the slideshow of photos below.

In honor of our 25th reunion we would like to give back to Burroughs with a class gift to show our appreciation for the extraordinary educational experience we were given, and help other students access the same opportunities. 

A Burroughs education can be financially challenging and the school gave out $3.8 million in scholarships and tuition aid last year. To help lessen this burden, we would like to direct our class gift to the Alumni Reunion Scholarship. Established in 1981 by the class of 1930 in honor of their 50th reunion, the Alumni Reunion Scholarship supports one student every year at Burroughs. Our gift can help increase that support in perpetuity.

Given the 25 years since graduation in the field house (thanks STL spring weather!) we have suggested contributions in amounts of $25, $97, $250, $1,997, and $2,500.  We gently request that you consider a class gift to the Alumni Reunion Scholarship Fund in addition to what you may already contribute to the Burroughs Annual Fund. Alumni support of the Annual Fund provides essential operating support, and we do not want to erode that base of funding for Burroughs. You can donate online through our Class of 1997 Campaign below. If you prefer to send a gift by check, Donor Advised Fund or stock, make sure to make a note that the gift be directed to our 25th Reunion Gift. So far, six of our classmates have given $5,066 towards our goal of 50 gifts to the Alumni Reunion Scholarship Fund. Can 44 more classmates give to our class gift??
