Class of 1973

We had such a great time at our 50th reunion! Thank you to those who attended our class reunion on Friday evening. A big thank you to classmate and reunion chairperson who generously hosted us for a delicious meal and drinks. The slideshow by Margaret and Dave Clark was beautiful - and we haven't aged a bit! The party carried over to the Saturday Centennial celebration where we all gathered for dinner in the Fine Arts room after toasting with more than 2,400 from the Burroughs community.

Our 50th reunion book should be arriving in mailboxes soon. Thanks to Joe Dreyer and Ned Rubenstein who spent hours editing and reformatting our photos and life stories. We have all accomplished so much over the past 50 years and it's an impressive and meaningful history.

Thank you to many of you who made phone calls, sent emails, sponsored our dinner at Old Warson and also worked on our 50th reunion book. We came together to make the best possible weekend for the class of 1973!

We would like to give a gift back to the school in honor of our 50th reunion. We decided to raise funds to resurface two tennis courts to include pickleball courts. As a growing sport at Burroughs, these courts would be used for seventh and eighth grade P.E. classes, as well as all members of the Burroughs community. A plaque will hang next to the tennis courts in honor of our class.

Class gift and goals:
$22,000 to resurface the top two courts
$1,000 to add the stripes to the top two courts for 4 pickleball courts
$500 for new equipment (4 nets, racquets, balls for P.E.)
$23,500 for the top two courts 

We recommend that each classmate contribute $200, but of course you can donate what you are comfortable with giving. You can also spread your gift over the next 3 years, making a larger pledge to be more impactful. Monthly giving is also an option - $25/month is $300/year over the next 3 years could be $900!
