Distance Learning & the JBS Community

Though the public health crisis and the attendant economic picture are constantly changing, Burroughs is settling into the new normal as are schools around the country and around the world. We are finding new ways to keep our students engaged and excited about learning and to sustain the community and interpersonal connections that make Burroughs Burroughs while we remain physically apart. Our teachers and students have shown amazing flexibility, resilience and resourcefulness as they navigate distance learning. But they are partnering successfully, listening to one another, making adjustments, and focusing their energy on the work at hand. It is stunning to see what can happen when curious and capable students join forces with motivated and experienced faculty, all supported by caring and engaged parents, guardians and alums.

On the following pages, we have attempted to share how our community is managing distance learning, some opportunities for engaging in the larger community and some scientific, health and government resources.

This site will be updated regularly. If you do not see the answer to a question that applies beyond an individual student, please submit that question to web@jburroughs.org
