On Saturday, April 9, over 500 track and field athletes to competed in various events at the annual Skippy Keefer Relays hosted by Burroughs. It was the first home track meet for the the Burroughs track and field team which a big day — the girls (Lizzie Wagner ‘22, Ella Nichols ‘23, Cori Spetnagel ‘22 and Story Kummer ‘25) won the 4x800 relay and the boys (Ted Spetnagel ‘24, Alexander Doty ‘25, Brice Shearburn ‘23, Akash Mallady ‘22) ran the distance medley relay and broke the 14-year school record by 10 seconds!

Another highlight of the day was a special event for athletes with cerebral palsy coordinated by Sydney Williams ‘22. Relay teams from all schools lined the track to cheer them on during the 100m dash.
