During assembly on Thursday, April 8, Leyla Fern King ’21 introduced a preview performance for the Dance Show, performed by JBS Majorette. The choreography was based on the tradition of the majorette, a dance form originating in the 1960s as part of Black college marching band performances, which allowed bands to dramatize popular music.
