Facilities

More than 50 percent of the Burroughs campus is dedicated to physical education and athletics—and these facilities are regularly updated to support the talents and interests of our student-athletes. Projects currently underway will impact our field hockey, golf, lacrosse, squash, swimming, diving and water polo programs, at all levels.

The Taylor Family Athletic Center is a 60,000-square-foot facility located on the south side of campus. It has a multilevel gymnasium that can seat 600, dedicated cardio and weight rooms (see next two slides), refurbished locker rooms and athletic offices. Visitors, use our Clayton Road entrance for easiest access.

The cardio room contains treadmills, elliptical runners and an assortment of exercise bikes for fitness and rehab work. It is located on the second floor of the Athletic Center.

The weight room has an assortment of free weights, barbells and resistant exercise machines. It is located on the second floor of the Athletic Center (overlooking the performance gym).

The Olin Field House has three regulation basketball courts, encircled by a 160-meter running track. The space can be used as a large practice area for soccer, field hockey and football, but movable netting allows the facility to be subdivided for simultaneous use by multiple activities. A batting cage supports hitting drills and fielding practice. This venue is also used for major school events and meetings. Visitors, use our Clayton Road entrance for easiest access.

The Memorial Gym, located on the second floor of the Commons and Athletic Center, was opened in fall 1947 as a tribute to those who served in WWII. Seating 500, it continues to serve as a practice and performance gym for basketball, volleyball and wrestling at all levels. Visitors, this venue can be easily accessed from our Clayton Road and Price Road lots.

A new natatorium, featuring an eight-lane pool, is under construction. Our current pool opened as part of the Cissel Center. It has six 25-meter lanes and a one-meter diving board. The 1986 pool will remain operational for spring and summer programs. Visitors, this venue can be easily accessed from our Clayton Road and Price Road lots.

The dance studio is part of the Haertter Performing Arts Center. It is located just south of main auditorium. With one wall of mirrors, the studio is used for dance practice, fitness, yoga and cheering squads.

The field hockey artificial turf field will soon be expanded and resurfaced in time for the fall 2020 season. The field will also support regulation play for soccer and lacrosse. Visitors, use our Clayton Road entrance for easiest access.

McConnell Field and Sisler Baseball Stands are located, behind the Haertter Performing Arts Center, on the west side of campus. Visitors, use our Clayton Road entrance for easiest access.

Leland Field is an artificial turf field that supports football, lacrosse and soccer. The eight-lane Skippy Keefer track, which encircles the field, meets district and state competition requirements. The Jim Lemen Press Box and Bleachers sit on the south side of the field. Visitors, this venue can be easily accessed from our Clayton Road and Price Road lots.

The Lee Tennis Complex consists of 10 regulation courts on the north side of campus. Visitors, use our Price Road entrances for easiest access.

A chip and putt practice area is located just north of the tennis courts.

The Beckman Soccer Field, located in the northwest corner of campus, is a regulation field supporting boys and girls practice and regulation play. Visitors, use our Price Road entrances for easiest access.
