A rich program in fine, performing and practical arts is a hallmark of the Burroughs experience that crosses all grade levels.

All students in grades 7 and 8 take courses in sculpture and ceramics, painting and drawing, basic mechanical drawing and technical design, industrial technology, acting, music, cooking, sewing, public speaking and debate. In the upper grades, they may choose from a broad range of electives in any of the disciplines. Most of the arts courses meet during regular class periods, but rehearsals for dramatic and musical performances often require time after school.
