For athletics: A pair of sneakers, a one-piece swimsuit or swim trunks, and a towel (for swimming unit).
A note about technology:
It is not required for students to bring a laptop to school each day; computers are available in labs and in the library. Your child will need access to a computer at home to complete some homework assignments.
If you choose to purchase a device for your middle schooler, any reliable mid-range Chromebook should suffice. We have been happy with the Acer brand and have found them to be durable and reliable. Typical Chromebooks owned by the school have 32GB of storage space, 2GB of RAM and a Celeron 1.1/2.8GHz processor, for around $200.
Financial assistance is available; to learn more, please contact Keith Vassall, our director of student engagement, at kvassall@jburroughs.org.
