Paul has worked in the area of disabilities education for more than 30 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a master’s degree in agency counseling from the University of Missouri-Columbia and an educational specialist degree in educational psychology from the University of Missouri–St. Louis. He has also completed 96 non-degree hours (all but dissertation) in educational psychology at the University of Texas. Paul came to Burroughs to chair the department in 2015 from the Special School District (St. Louis), where he was a school psychologist.
Jackie works closely with students to help them understand concepts and methods, as well as to instill problem-solving and study skills necessary for mastery of a subject. A teacher and tutor with 30 years of experience working with students on language, math and science, Jackie holds a bachelor's degree in English from Brandeis University, a master's in teaching from Washington University and an MFA (writing) from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Jackie has been at Burroughs since 2003.
In addition to working in Academic Support, Jim teaches Economics and Algebra. He taught 6th grade for 16 years at Rossman School. He has a bachelor of arts degree in biology from Williams College and a masters of management degree in marketing and strategy from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Jim joined the Math and Academic Support Departments in 2018.
Mylin helps students with organization, study skills, and math and science. He also coaches boys varsity football and basketball. Mylin holds a bachelor's degree in English from Kenyon College and a master's in social work from Washington University. A member of the JBS class of 1992, Mylin joined the faculty in 2000.
Andranique has taught Spanish at Burroughs since 2006 and has worked in Academic Support since 2019. She holds a bachelor's degree in Spanish and education from Washington University and a master's in education and innovation from Webster University.
Kevin McKone teaches Introduction to Algebra, Algebra I and Algebra II, and tutors in Academic Support. He has a bachelor's degree from Brown University and a master's in educational administration from St. Louis University. Kevin joined the Burroughs faculty in 1988.
Kerri Rowe joined the Science and Academic Support Departments in 2015. She teaches 7th grade Life Science, 7th grade Earth Science, as well as 8th grade Chemistry. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a master’s degree in gifted education from Lindenwood University.
