What is Burr Oak?
Burr Oak offers a unique and fully immersive day camp experience for children ages 5 through 12 (or entering sixth grade). Each week-long session features a variety of rotating, age-appropriate experiences that allow campers to be socially and physically active while also engaging their creativity throughout the day. Our daily schedule consists of seven periods, each lasting approximately 45 minutes. Alongside their counselors, campers traverse every corner of our campus as they move from class to class. Our exceptional food service team provides lunch each day, including vegetarian and allergy-specific options, and all meals are included in the cost of enrollment. Burr Oak is one of the few camps in St. Louis to offer daily swim instruction for every camper in our beautiful natatorium. Our aquatics director leads a fully certified lifeguard staff, and we are proud of our high guard-to-swimmer ratio of 5:1. In addition, we provide families with a well-balanced daily experience by offering a thoughtful mix of physically active, game-based classes and creative outlets, including art, music creation, STEM-based activities in our makerspace, singing, building, and, at times, improvisation and acting.
We promise our families that their children will be safe, introduced to new and engaging activities, and will truly have the time of their lives at Burr Oak.
