The School Today

Faculty, parents, and students share a commitment to a liberal arts education which strikes a balance of emphasis among academics, arts, athletics, and activities. Graduates enter leading colleges throughout the country.

The campus consists of seven student-use buildings on 47.5 acres of land including an auditorium, a library, a science building, a sports and performing arts center, and a fine arts facility. In the mid-1990's, the Brauer Classroom Building was fully renovated and the technology upgraded, and the Schnuck Classroom Wing and Tower was built.  These efforts were part of  a $26 million campaign for campus expansion, building improvement and endowment, which was completed in the summer of 2000.  In the summer of 2005 the football field and track were totally renovated, including installation of artificial turf and an eight-lane track.  In the summer of 2006 the utilities that service the campus were upgraded, a new parking lot with a Clayton Road entrance and a small dining room addition were constructed, and an artificial turf hockey field was installed.  In summer 2007 renovation of the fine arts building and an addition to the field house were begun.  A master plan for further campus enhancements, including a new theatre, performance gym and assembly hall, is in progress as well.
