Volunteer Leadership in Place

Board of Trustees

At its annual meeting on May 1, the John Burroughs Association approved the Board's slate for the 2010-11 school year. Joining the Board are Nancy Berg ’72, John Van Doren, Derek Rapp and Steve LeResche. Sue McCollum and Mary Beth Soffer were elected to their first full terms after filling vacancies on the Board, and Pam Marshall, Roz Johnson and Mary Stillman were elected to second terms. At the last trustee meeting of the year, Todd Schnuck, Mary Beth Soffer, Hardy Washington and Eve Riley were elected to second terms as president, first vice president, second vice president and secretary, respectively. Greg Trapp was elected treasurer.

Parents Council

At its annual luncheon and meeting on May 20, the Parents Council Board elected next year's leadership. Susan Murray will be president, Dorothy Swicord  will be vice president, Carin Hicks will continue as secretary and Cathy Herman will continue as treasurer. The executive committee will be supported by 19 ancillary committees and six grade-level committees.

Alumni Board

At its final meeting of the school year on April 21, the Alumni Board elected its leadership for the 2010-11 school year. Ellen Sheffield Pace ’83 will remain as president, assisted by two new members of the executive committee, Zac Mueller ’00 as vice president and Elizabeth Pass Schott ’91 as secretary. The Board also invited Joey Mathes ’05 and Kellen Townsend ’03 to join the group as regular members.
