Event Calendar

An exhibit by Jonathan David Lange will be in the Bonsack Gallery from February 10 through April 10. All are invited to a reception hosted by the artist from 5:30 - 7:30 pm on February 10.

Lange spent some time as a student at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2008) and holds a BFA from Olivet University (2006-2008) in painting. He was chosen by Caelum Gallery in New York City in the fall of 2011 as one of their 12 winners/exhibitors for the School's Out competition. He also does commissioned work for both private individuals and corporations. 

"My art is concerned with multiple subjects, but only two primary themes. The first is that of ideas, before any word of description or physical action to make tangible has been attached to it. The second is memory: how we often unconsciously distort and fill in our personal history to bridge gaps and try to reconcile a peace or continuum within us. I try to place this all in the contemporary context of our frenetically paced society - the age of the internet."
