Campus Candids
The Quadratic Function
Student Body President Keaton Wetzel predicted this all-student evening on October 2 would be "off the Cartesian plane" — and it was! More than 300 students followed the sidewalk luminaries to the Quadrangle which had a ceiling of holiday lights (running from the Brauer Building to Haertter Hall) and a stage positioned in front of Haertter Hall. Students settled down on blankets, tarps, lawn chairs and borrowed furniture from the senior lounge. They enjoyed 12 student acts during a two-hour period. The final songs, Wavin' Flag and Don't Stop Believin'', brought the crowd to its feet for an impromptu sing-along.
An unofficial roster of performances includes J.C. LeResche (acoustic guitar and vocals); Mango BodyButter (9th grade boys); A.D. Marshall (piano); Sofie Kodner, Georgia Macon and Caroline Stoner (acoustic guitar and vocals); Centrifugal Bumblepuppies (Pepper Dee, et al.); Keaton Armentrout & Company; Anna Clemens (guitar, which she made at JBS, and vocals); Donald Soffer, Daniel Diemer and Nathan Dee (band); Three Dudes and Another Dude (band with Vince Vance, Milti Symeonoglou and Jack Krewson); Sam Schnable and Morgan Trapp; Dee Boys at the Trapp (Jack Krewson, Pepper Dee, one of the Trapps!, David Gu, Henry Fremont and Laura Cooper); and Turner Trapp, Georgia Macon and Pepper Dee.
