Pumpkin Launch

On Thursday, November 12, $350 was raised for parts and supplies for the the third generation of the super mileage vehicle car, courtesy of student and faculty pumpkin launchers. For $5 a pumpkin, anyone who was interested could pick out a pumpkin and launch it from Dean Tiffany's (PE/Athletics) handmade trebuchet in the Clayton Road parking lot. After each lunch period, a new stream of students ventured out to test their skill in selecting and then launching a pumpkin.

Kudos to Claire Krupela '15 whose pumpkin traveled the longest distance, 100 feet, and to Mark Troianovksi '10 whose pumpkin didn't go very far but had the most impressive "splat!"
