News & Pictures from The Hague

Andrew Newman (fine arts, school photographer) is one of three faculty sponsors of the Burroughs delegation to The Hague. Here is his first e-mail and set of pictures:

A quick report that we are all safe and sound across the Atlantic, surviving the much anticipated cold and wet weather, but surprised by the snow that started to come down last night (Saturday) and this morning (Sunday). No real accumulation, but
fun to see in Den Haag.  We oriented the students to the city and transportation system and spent some time in the conference center, but the highlights were three museums we visited:  M.C. Escher, Mauritshius, and the Gemeentemuseum.
