Graduation 2009

On Thursday, June 4, ninety-six seniors participated in John Burroughs School's 84th—and Keith Shahan's 23rd and final—graduation ceremony. Here are pictures, courtesy of Andrew Newman (fine arts, school photographer), which catch seniors before and during the ceremony. They include shots of the student speakers, Eliana Machefsky and Andy Stuhl, and shots of Flint Fowler (who delivered the invocation and benediction) and Carr Trovillion ( who presided over the ceremony as president of the board of trustees)—as well as shots of each of them presenting diplomas to their children. The final shot is of Dr. Shahan presenting his last diploma to Andrew Truetzel.
