Gateway Homeless Shelter Makeovers
On Monday, February 16th, more than 60 JBS students and faculty transformed two rooms at the Gateway Homeless Shelter.
The Shelter is the benefactor of this year's Montgomery Plan Danna Drive, which in addition to the room makeovers, collected and donated 10 boxes of toiletries, linens, paper goods, etc., and raised $1500 through a bake sale to cover the expenses of the makeovers. Another JBS student club, Knits for Needs, donated handknit throws, and, under the guidance of fine arts teacher Donya Allison, students painted and donated five original canvases for the shelter.
