A Nice Gesture

MICDS recently honored Burroughs' long-time athletic director Jim Lemen for 43 years of leadership in Missouri high school athletics. During the half-time of the boys' varsity basketball game on January 15, MICDS athletic director Don Maurer recognized Lemen and presented him with a new golf bag. Lemen will step down as director of the physical education and athletics department to teach seventh and eight grade physical education classes, write a history of Burroughs athletics, and lead the grandparent annual giving campaign during the 2010-11 school year. He plans to retire in June of 2011.
