7th Grade Community Service

On the last day of school in December, the class of 2016 spent the afternoon helping out at homes of persons with ALS. Chaperoned by more than 30 parent volunteers, they raked leaves, shoveled snow, wrapped presents, addressed cards, did a little cleaning and visited. They also delivered holiday goodie bags they had made at school that morning. This is the third year for what has become a powerful new tradition at Burroughs. Earlier this fall, this JBS effort was honored by the ALS Association, St. Louis Regional Chapter.)
