The philosophy and execution of the John Burroughs School website is a collegial effort. Each department is responsible for the design and content of its own pages; similarly, student pages are supervised, but not directed. Substantial autonomy afforded faculty and students is one of the common denominators at Burroughs. It has been our experience that independence coupled with responsibility regularly often delivers creative, high-quality work that is more genuine, if less flashy or polished, than professional design by outsiders.
