Rassieur Career Awareness Center
Howard A. Stamper Library
|
The Rassieur Career Awareness Center (RCAC) is housed in the Howard A. Stamper Library at John Burroughs School. Founded in 1975 as a memorial to Benjamin F. Rassieur, the Center aims to provide the Burroughs community with information about the working world. The emphasis is career awareness, not vocational education. RCAC has a variety of resources geared to post-college careers. Included is the practical along with descriptions and tales of interesting and far-flung careers. Books about writing resumes and finding jobs sit next to biographies of war-time journalists, culinary wizards, pioneering scientists, avant-garde artists, as well as doctors, lawyers, coaches, zoologists, psychologists, and bankers to name a few. Link directly to the library's online catalog called iLink at http://www.sirsi.net:5725/ and enter keywords to reflect your career interest. Please send all questions, comments, and suggestions to library@jburroughs.org or contact Linda Mercer at 314-993-4040. |
