In some few cases students may receive permission to study under the supervision of a teacher to explore specialized interests or to do advanced work beyond the offerings available in the curriculum. A contract approved by the teacher, department head, and the Principal specifies description of the project, hours and product; this contract must be completed during the first week of the trimester that the study begins.
