John Burroughs School offers the following support services:

JBS has two full-time professional counselors who are adolescent developmental specialists prepared to meet a full range of learning and mental health needs of students and their families. They are assistedd by a half-time certified health educator whose resposibilities include health and wellness education.

ACADEMIC SUPPORT

The academic support department, which includes Susan Dee(chair), Julie Harris (math), Mylin Johnson (study skills) and Jackie Gross (study skills and writing), provides support for a wide range of students. Our assistance includes working on study skills, test-taking strategies, subject tutoring, and writing assistance, among other services.
