Sculpture taught by Ms. Martin, presents the sculpture student with the same types of issues faced by the professional - from compositional and aesthetic concerns to technical and structural requirements. The sculptors make use of a variety of techniques including welding, brazing, bronze casting, clay modeling, mold-making, aluminum riveting, etc. And in peroiodic critiques, the sculptor is encouraged to become fluent and comfortable talking about sculptural issues. The atmosphere in the studio is relaxed but focused and complemented by our eclectic collection of jazz, blues and reggae CDs.
