Ceramics
taught by Mr. Denney and Ms. Martin, promotes a respect for the techniques and attitudes of contemoroary ceramic artists balanced with Asian sensibilities and an appreciation for the natural world. The JB-3D studio has a comfortable and meditative atmosphere often enhanced with music from Mr. Denney's eclectic collection of jazz, blues and reggae CDs.
Beginning students are guided through a series of exercises and assignments handbuilding and wheel throwing, and as students advance, they are allowed more freedom and independence to explore their own directions.
