Class Reunion Activities in 2011 - For Years Ending in 1 and 6
Class of 1946
The class met on Thursday, September 29 for cocktails & dinner at Old Warson Country Club. On Friday, September 30 classmates gathered for a cocktail party in the Kuehner Gallery at JBS with other alums. On Saturday, October 1 there was an alumni picnic in the Quad at JBS. On Saturday night the class had a dutch treat dinner.
Class of 1951
Classmates gathered on Friday, September 30 for the annual Alumni Cocktail Party in the Kuehner Gallery at JBS. On Saturday, October 1 they met again for the Alumni Picnic in the Quad at JBS. Saturday night the class had Cocktails & Dinner at the Log Cabin Club. A great time was had by all.
Class of 1956
The class gathered on Friday, September 30 for the Alumni Cocktail Party in the Kuehner Gallery at JBS. On Saturday, October 1 the class met other alums at the Alumni Picnic in the Quad at JBS. Saturday night the class had a party at the home of Jody & John Ross.
Class of 1961
The class started its 50th reunion celebration on Friday, September 23 with a cocktail buffet at the home of Jerry & Bonnie Burst Freeland. On Saturday, September 24 some classmates went to a Cards game and others went bird watching. That night the class met for cocktails & dinner at the River Camp at the St. Louis Zoo. Class of 1966
The class of '66 went all out and re-created the Burroughs Dining Room at the Deer Creek Club on Friday, September 30 and had a wonderful dinner with JBS favorites! They even had some of their former teachers "attend" as life-size cutouts. A grand time was had by all. On Saturday many gathered at JBS for the picnic and then Saturday night the class had cocktails and dinner at the St. Louis Club.
Class of 1971
Due to schedule conflicts the class of '71 gathered for their reunion on an "off" weekend. On Friday, September 23, the class held an on-campus cocktail party in the Kuehner Gallery. On Saturday, September 24 they met for dinner at the home of Jeff Fort. Everyone had a blast!
Class of 1976
The class 1976 gathered over alumni weekend and enjoyed the Friday, September 30 Alumni Cocktail Party in the Kuehner Gallery. On Saturday, October 1 many classmates met on campus for the Alumni Picnic in the Quad and Saturday night met for dinner at Eclipse Restaurant at the Moonrise Hotel. A few brave souls showed up on Sunday for the Alumni Games at JBS. No one was injured this year!
Class of 1981
Joining other re-uning classes, the class of '81 met at the Friday night Cocktail Party on campus and attended the alumni picnic on Saturday. Saturday night they gathered for Cocktails, Dinner & Rock in the Elvis Room at Blueberry Hill. Many had such a fun time they were unable to make the alumni games on Sunday morning!
Class of 1986
This class just could not get enough of each other over their reunion weekend! They were here for the Friday night Alumni Cocktail Party in the Kuehner Gallery and then met up for more fun at the Moonrise Hotel Rooftop Terrace. They were back on campus Saturday for the Alumni Picnic and then that night met for Cocktails & Dinner at Norwood Hills Country Club. On Sunday morning the class met on campus again for a Family Brunch and then headed to watch and/or participate in the
Alumni Games.
Class of 1991
The class of 1991 started their weekend at the Alumni Cocktail Party on Friday night and then were back on Saturday for the Alumni Picnic. On Saturday night they met for Cocktails & Appetizers at Mis on Meramec. A great time was had by all!
Class of 1996
The class of 1996 met over Thanksgiving Weekend. They had cocktails and appetizers at Bar Luna in the CWE on Friday night and had a wonderful time catching up.
Class of 2001
Classmate Tatyana Telnikova hosted a party at her restaurant, Handlebar, in the Grove on Friday, December 23. A fun time was had by everyone who attended.
Class of 2006
Classmates gathered on the Friday night of Thanksgiving weekend for cocktails and appetizers at Bar Napoli in Clayton. They found it hard to believe they have been out of Burroughs for 5 years!
