Class Reunion Activities in 2008 - For Years Ending in 3 or 8
Class of 1943
September 5-7, 2008 - About 20 people enjoyed this reunion weekend, beginning with a get-together at Ann Niemeyer Maritz's home on Friday, then at Westwood Country Club on Saturday, and finally at the Saint Louis Art Museum on Sunday.
Class of 1948
October 10-12, 2008 – About 20 people met for the 60th reunion. Friday night classmates gathered at the home of John and LaVerna Meyer for dinner. Saturday the class had dinner at Bob and Anne Stupp’s home. On Sunday, Walt and Joan Weir Stradal hosted a brunch.
Class of 1953
Over 20 people gathered for a party on Saturday, October 4, at the home of Gordon and Susie Berger Philpott. A wonderful time was had by all. A few classmates also gathered that afternoon for a campus tour.
Class of 1958
September 26-28, 2008 - Almost 50 people attended the 50th! The weekend began at the home of Bert and Bobbe Wunderlich for cocktails and dinner on Friday. The celebration continued with a motorcoach ride on Saturday from JBS to Woods Valley Farm, owned by John and Judy Hunkins Woods. They had a trip in the Arborway Railroad and toured the railyards and then enjoyed a barbecue lunch and a fishing derby. Sunday morning, classmates gathered at Burroughs for a brunch with the head of school followed by a campus tour.
Class of 1963
The class chose not to hold a reunion in 2008.
Class of 1968
October 11, 2008 – About 20 people met for dinner at the home of Steve and Alice Lowenhaupt Montgomery to celebrate the class’s 40th reunion.
Class of 1973
October 10-11, 2008 – Classmates met at Saratoga Bowling Lanes in Maplewood on Friday night, and on Saturday everyone had dinner at the home of Clyde and Jane Devine Pilkington.
Class of 1978
October 10-11, 2008 – More than 50 people gathered at Pin Up Bowl in the Delmar Loop on Friday night. On Saturday evening, David Hatfield hosted a buffet dinner for classmates at his home. A fabulous time was had by all, and we missed those who couldn’t attend.
Class of 1983
October 10-11, 2008 – About 60 people gathered on Friday evening at the home of D.J. and Nancy Schnuck Diemer for a wonderful dinner to celebrate the 25th reunion. Saturday night the class met up at Pin Up Bowl for some crazy bowling. On Sunday, many classmates played in the Alumni Soccer Game—no permanent injuries!
Class of 1988
October 10-11, 2008 – Arlene Maminta Browne and her husband, Stanley, hosted the class at their wine bar, Robust, on Friday night. On Saturday classmates gathered at Cardwell’s in Clayton for a great dinner party.
Class of 1993
October 11, 2008 – Classmates gathered with their families for an informal dinner at Maggiano’s in Richmond Heights.
Class of 1998
November 28, 2008 - About 40 alums met for cocktails and dinner at the Boat House in Forest Park. Everyone had a wonderful time!
Class of 2003
November 28, 2008 - Almost 60 people gathered for the 5-year reunion at Blueberry Hill in the Delmar Loop.
