Alumni Cocktail Party in the Kuehner Gallery at JBS hosted by head of school, Andy Abbott (5:30 – 7:30), Art exhibit by Robin Winfield ’74

“Lens to Brush,” an exhibit of painted photographs by Robin Winfield, will be on display in the Kuehner Gallery through September 30. For more than 20 years Winfield has documented scenes from her travels to India, Japan, Mexico, Europe and the United States. Her photos of beautiful, diverse architecture and doorways are focal points from which she paints around, over and out from, creating her own version of reality and surrealism.

Winfield grew up in a family of artists. After graduating from Burroughs in 1974, she majored in art at Smith College in Northampton, MA, and has exhibited her work in galleries nationally from Provincetown, MA, to Carmel, CA. For the past year she has been working and exhibiting in her own gallery/studio in Carmel. Visit her website for a preview of her work.

Alumni Family Picnic in the Quad at JBS (12:00-2:00), entertainment provided by The Pernikoff Brothers, Tom ’01 and Rick ’03.  The Alumni Family Picnic is for all ages - face painting, photo booth, ice cream truck and free lunch!  Watch Varsity Field Hockey play Kirkwood at 12:30 and stick around to cheer the Bomber football team as they face off with St. Genevieve at 2:00pm. Swing by Haertter Hall to learn about the new campus master plans.

Sunday, October 2

Dust off your cleats & high-tops and join in the Alumni Soccer, Basketball and Field Hockey Games (11:00-1:00).  Meet in the Quad at 11:00 for a welcome and snacks and then head to the Beckman Soccer Field, the hockey field or the field house for friendly alumni games.  Fans are welcome and encouraged!
