One of the
most gratifying experiences a donor can have is
giving a gift in honor or memory of a loved
one. Burroughs is fortunate to have been asked
many times to help families honor and memorialize
their loved ones through memorial gifts, named
classrooms, scholarship funds and special-purpose
endowments. These are lasting tributes to
family and friends whose names and legacies will live
on with Burroughs. |

Endowed Memorial Scholarships - which are awarded based solely on
financial need - are important to the school's
ability to recruit a talented and diverse student
body, enhancing the ethnic, socio-economic mix of the
school community. Named for alumni, faculty,
families and even 50th reunion classes, most
scholarship endowments are designed to fund 110% of
the school's tuition each year.
Memorial & Tribute Funds - Burroughs has always accepted gifts
in honor or memory of its alumni, past parents,
grandparents and friends. When you make a
tax-deductible memorial or tribute gift, we'll send a
note to the family of the person being honored or
memorialized. It's a thoughtful way to let
someone know you're thinking about them.
Special Funds, Capital Gifts &
Class Gifts -
Operating an independent school, and striving to
maintain the excellence in education for which we are
known, has real costs. Perhaps you'd like to
help increase the collection in the Stamper Library,
contribute a park bench for the Quadrangle, name a
classroom in honor of your favorite teacher or name
the new hockey field in memory of someone dear to
you! We'd welcome the chance to speak with you
about this.
